My shaving session is on 29 July 2012(Sunday), 2 - 3 PM

HAIR FOR HOPE 2012 

Into its 10th consecutive year, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is organising Hair for Hope (HfH)

on 28 and 29 July 2012, from 11am to 7pm (Saturday) and 11am to 6pm (Sunday) at VivoCity.

Through this symbolic gesture of shaving bald, we aim to: 

1. Create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore 

2. Show children with cancer and their families that they are not alone in their fight against cancer

3. Tell children with cancer that it is OK to be bald 

4. Raise funds to help children with cancer and their families

5. Build a community of support for children with cancer and their families

Back To The Future aka 马前马后

Last week botak try to apply for a new passport using the same 2007 photo ...

This was the ICA  reply ;

Dear Botak Sim,

Either you don't understand English or You think we blind or what? 

After the Salamak case and those airport mix-up ..., we open our eye very big one!  (before that we open eyes also but no see lah)

  

We wish to inform you that we are unable to process your application for a new Singapore Passport due to the following reason(s):

1.      Photo must be taken recently (within 3 months)

最后圣地

大年初一早上覆行我一年一度的”朝圣“， 去教堂参加新年礼拜。这是对老妈子的一个承诺。

老妈子没受教育，年轻嫁入信教的沈家也嫁鸡随鸡信教了。那时家里很穷又有一大群孩子得养，老爸粗人一个，星期天去礼拜堂总是短裤背心拖鞋，有一次牧师跟他说“某某人，你来参加礼拜能否穿的端庄点。。。老爸心想：“我是来拜上帝，穿什么有关系吗？难道上帝也看衣装？” 从此就不再去礼拜堂了。

老爸在我九岁那年去世，一家大小的重担就落在老妈子身上。她咬紧牙根把我们抚养长大，不怨天不怨命更不怨上帝，还是默默的，虔诚的，每个星期天风雨不改去做礼拜，去为她的子女祈福，祈祷。

老妈子老年时当然由我这老幺陪她去礼拜，她也知道我是“陪老妈子读圣经”，常常说：“我若不在了，你们还是要去做礼拜” 老妈子临终前我对她说我一定会去礼拜堂。。。，

亲爱的老妈子哟，礼拜堂我会继续去。。。但若最后的圣地是这样。。。
我 不 想 去！

去年与大伙说希望能用201X年的戈壁长征来庆我的#50， 但在过去12个月博拼下，#50就快来到。

2008年 9月 生日跑了50k 后做了场马梦：

50岁开始完成50场马拉松。。。一年跑2场，跑到75岁。

对于一个25年完全没跑步的我，那是个多么勇敢的愿望，愚蠢的勇敢吧！

2012年 2月18号的 Vibram HK100将是我的#50马，我的5050 dream.

2012 HK100参赛者741位，新加坡参赛者居然有102位！很感谢run2eat的老将新兵踊跃支持，10个勇者报了名，太感动了!

在豆瓣上看到陈昇「烏節路的妹妹」新加坡音樂會， http://www.douban.com/event/12323815/ 终于有机会看我的偶像现场演出。

这 是一场小型演唱会，会场是dragonfly Pub，昨晚与阿超 6.30抵dragonfly就看到好些升迷已在入口处买升哥的CD，我们这两个老男人也不落人后,得用$$$来支持俺们稀饭的歌者。挑了5 张，其中一专辑[这些人，那些人] 有首我在上3个礼拜内在网上听了n 回的 《告诉妈妈〉〉如获至宝！

我问姐姐啊 为何我在总是在心里有点阴霾

没想到dragonfly 还有dress code！ 检票员看到我穿vibram fivefingers 竟说：“No slipper allowed" ...”,在与他举手画脚解析时,伯乐来了- 他的经理是识货人, 对他说: "alamak，you got eyes don't know or-e-or 泰山? 这是大名鼎鼎的“五手趾"Bikila, 跑鞋王中王，还不快带这位老爷入座，老爷有请“
嘿嘿！就凭这句话已值回鞋价。进到里边，座位已全满，只剩站位，也不赖，第一次站着看演出，要high比较容易！

7。15pm, 陈升，这老顽童戴一副白框大眼镜，吹着口琴，陈昇「烏節路的妹妹」新加坡音樂會正式开始。他一话不讲，二话不说竟然连续唱6首歌才小开金口 ：“歌太多，话就少讲点，但酒不能不喝，u never drink alone!" 在小小的pub里近距离接触，他显更无拘无碍，一忽儿温柔如斯，偶尔霸道无理头。一边唱一边与乐队喝whisky，干杯。你点他的歌，他唱他稀饭的，才不 管你们是付钱的爷们。今晚他是唱给自己听。他都摆明了：

"如果你觉得我有些地语无轮次，那就对了。
这城市的人，就这调调，
什么都懂一点，也什么都不懂。。。
很想负起些责任，却什么都负不起"

他疯，他狂，他颠！他醉！他。。。散发50岁老男人才有的魅力，让我们这些老男人觉得天生我才”还“有用。 酒是老的醇。。。他依然销魂。

《one night in beijing》, 他手卦白手绢，找来一位京韵十足小姑娘合唱，比刘佳慧还刘佳慧。
《把悲伤留给自己》，今晚，他用“慢拍”唱，潇洒依旧。
《牡丹亭外》 他叹：黄粱一梦20年， 写歌的人假正经啊 听歌的人最无情！
《别让我哭》，听了n遍，唱了n次，但第一次看现场，感觉更热血沸腾。
听陈升的情歌，不需要流泪，只需要感动。

演唱会完毕还有他的CD签名会，沈佬佬入大观园，botak 活了这么大，头一遭，排队去也！等待时的心情比第一次约会还紧张，兴奋！！在偶像前平时牙尖嘴俐的我忽然严重口吃起来。。。还大言不惭“人贱无敌”，看来还得返山修炼。
