Part Timer Wanted

oi my dear friend,

Today I have a very important and serious message for all of you.

Which is responsible for more global warming
:
your BMW or your Big Mac? Believe it or not, it's the burger.

The international meat industry generates roughly 18% of the world's greenhouse-gas emissions—even more than transportation—according to a report last year from the U.N.'s Food and Agriculture Organization.
  • Pound for pound, beef production generates greenhouse gases that contribute more than 13 times as much to global warming as do the gases emitted from producing chicken. For potatoes, the multiplier is 57.
  • Beef consumption is rising rapidly, both as population increases and as people eat more meat.
  • Producing the annual beef diet of the average American emits as much greenhouse gas as a car driven more than 1,800 miles

  • If not for those curry fish head, char kwee tiow, chicken rice, ok lah plus the occasional Big Mac, many of us would have become a vegetarian:)

Don't fret, there is a compromise: a part time vegetarian.

Research had proven that going vegetarian just one day a week
No meat on Monday reduces consumption of saturated fat by 15 percent, enough to ward off the "lifestyle diseases" such as heart attacks, strokes and cancer. A weekly commitment also adds the disease-fighting benefits of fresh fruits, vegetables.

    No meat on Monday
    - It’s been proved that if you abstain from meat for just 1 day a week, not only it's good for your health but you are also doing you part on reducing the carbon foot print. and would have a hugely beneficial effect on the climate.

So this is the least we can do for the better of our environment. It’s no difficult, anyway we have had too much over the weekend. Add this to your weekly routine of running - No Meat On Monday! It’d be a great thing to do.

I love meat, but I love mother earth even more , so I will stop eating meat at least 1 day a week. No Meat on Monday, won't you join me?

    /botak No Meat on Monday

PS : Did I get my message through loud and clear?
OK to drive a BMW but go slow on the Big Mac!
